Ctrip has integrated its overseas ride-hailing services on the Baidu Map for further global expansion, 36Kr reported Friday.
The move will allow users to hail a private ride directly when using the Baidu Map, China’s answer to Google Maps, which covers about 886 cities worldwide.
Ctrip previously announced in July the integration of 10 international ride-hailing companies into its own app, to offer services such as private ride-booking or chartered van-renting in 785 cities across the world.
The Ctrip app offers its ride-hailing services through the collaboration with firms such as Lyft in the United States, Cabify in Portugal, Spain, Mexico and South America, and Careem, which operates in West Asia and North Africa.
Ctrip told 36Kr that its ride-hailing orders overseas increased by 385% year-on-year during the summer, without providing further details.
