UK's current standard visitor visas for Chinese tourists are valid for 6 months.
The policy is intended to draw more middle-class Chinese visitors to the UK.
Application fee for a new visa will be £85 ($130).
The duration under the new sheme could also be extended to 10 years for the same price in the future, according to the Prime Minister.
