The Ministry of Antiquities has been making big improvements to all tourism facilities at the Giza Pyramids site.
The preparations are planned to be completed by the end of September. According to Al-Masry Al-Youm, The Minister of Antiquities Khaled Al Anany mentioned that developments began in 2009, costing a grand total of LE350 million, of which LE51 million has been supplied by the Ministry of Tourism.
High security gates have been installed, control rooms, an information center, and parking facilities. Rubbish bins have been installed throughout the site, as well as several safety signs. The ruins have also been cleaned and dusted.
