69th Sapporo Snow Festival Has Started!

Odori & Susukino

Site: from Feb. 5th (Mon) to Feb. 12th (Mon), 2018

Tsudome Site: from Feb. 1st (Thu) to Feb. 12th (Mon), 2018

Sapporo Snow Festival was started as the exhibition event with 6 snow sculptures in Odori Park organized by the local middle and high school students. It has now grown to be one of the biggest annual winter event in Sapporo. 203 snow and ice sculptures exhibited throughout Odori Park spanning 1.5km will be lighten up at night, which will take your breath away. International Contest at Odori 11-chome Site is remarkable for its unique nature where the visitors can see the process of the 36 participants from all over the world compete building the snow sculptures. Massive snow slides and many stage events will welcome you at Tsudome site. The ice-sculpture contest and the lighten-up ice sculptures at Susukino Site will spice up your night while drinking at the ice bar.

Unexpectable attractions and exhibitions will make your winter experience in Sapporo the special one this year.
