【Introduction】:On the afternoon of September 20th, the Tourism Investment Fair & Signing Ceremony of 2016 World Tourism Cities Federation Chongqing Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit was held in the Happiness Hall of Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center. It was the first investment fair since the Investment Committee of WTCF was established.
A Total of 40 Tourism Investment Projects Were Signed and the Contract Value Reached RMB 80 Billion
On the afternoon of September 20th, the Tourism Investment Fair & Signing Ceremony of 2016 World Tourism Cities Federation Chongqing Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit was held in the Happiness Hall of Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center. It was the first investment fair since the Investment Committee of WTCF was established.
The ceremony was hosted by Chen Yiqing, Vice Director of Chongqing Tourism Administration.Vice Mayor of Chongqing, Tan Jialing, along with Austrian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Dr. Irene Giner-Reichl, Deputy Secretary-General of Chongqing Municipal Government, Li Shikui, and Director of Chongqing Tourism Administration, Liu Qi, attended the signing ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Chen Yiqing, Vice Director of Chongqing Tourism Administration.
During the fair, a total of 44 tourism projects, including Simian Mountain of Jiangjin District, White Horse Hill of Wulong County, and Hongchiba of Chongqing were negotiated with 23 investment institutions from China and abroad, including CITIC Private Equity Funds Management Co., Ltd (“CITIC PE”), Palm Investment Co., Ltd, and Changqing International Pension Industry Group Co., Ltd. In the end, 10 projects were signed on-site, including Hechuan Luneng Resort, Farm Project of Beipei, and the urban complex tourism spot of Chongqing Guori Square.
During the summit, 40 tourism investment projects which involved 22 regions and counties were signed successfully and total the contract value reached RMB 80 billion. Among them, 10 projects with RMB 17.77 billion contract value were signed for the metropolitan core area; 15 projects with RMB 51.605 billion contract volume were signed for the city developing area; 9 projects with RMB 7 billion contract volume were signed for Northeast Chongqing Ecological Conservation Zone; 6 projects with RMB 3.033 billion contract volume were signed for Southeast Chongqing Ecological Protection Zone. The contracts covers all types of tourism projects, including tourist attractions, tourist complexes, resorts, cultural tourism, agricultural tourism, sports tourism, medical tourism and others. These projects will accelerate economic and social development of Chongqing, and help set off a new surge of tourism projects and lay a solid foundation for Chongqing to transition into a world-famous tourism destination in the period of “13th Five Year’s Development.”
