WTCF's Changsha Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit Concludes with Closing Dinner in Changsha

From 9 to 11 May, the World Tourism Cities Federation Changsha Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit 2023 (hereinafter referred to as "the Summit") was jointly hosted by World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) and Changsha Municipal People's Government in Changsha, China. On the final day of the Summit, a closing dinner was hosted to bid farewell to the Chinese and foreign guests, wishing them a delightful evening filled with profound memories of Changsha, a starry city with a radiant aura.

Yang reaffirmed WTCF's commitment to collaborating with all the stakeholders in the tourism industry in facilitating the sustainable development of tourism cities while supporting the recovery and growth of the tourism industry. Yang further expressed his utmost confidence that the Summit would serve as a catalyst for revitalizing the world tourism economy and the development of tourism cities worldwide.

The Summit has established a powerful platform for exchanging valuable experiences, enhancing cooperation, and building consensuses to fuel the growth of global tourism, with a glorious mission, remarkable achievements, and far-fetching significance," said Chen Peng, a member of the Standing Committee and Director-General of the Publicity Department of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee. Chen expressed his desire for all guests to pay more attention to Changsha, immerse themselves in the city's cultural offerings, and view the Summit as a valuable opportunity for sharing resources, mutual learning and mutual benefits. He believed that the Summit would lead to consensuses, enrich communication modes, and promote collaboration toward the development goals shared by many parties.

At the closing dinner, Li Baochun, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of WTCF, handed a souvenir to Xiao Zhengbo, Vice Mayor of Changsha, as a token of the friendship between the two sides. Chinese and foreign guests convened during the Summit to renew friendships while seeking mutual development. They committed to fostering inter-city exchanges and partnerships and raising the service quality and brand reputation for tourist destinations. Additionally, they highlighted the significance of promoting coordinated growth of tourism cities and achieving simultaneous progress in regional economy and society. With the above efforts, the Summit is expected to enhance the reputation of China's tourism industry, with enormous contributions to world tourism development.
