From September 3rd to the 4th, the capital of Finland, Helsinki witnessed the 2019 World Tourism Cities Federation Helsinki Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit. During the summit was a promotional activity which highlighted Sanya, one of China’s most famous tourism destinations. The city’s resources and products, with regards to tourism, were shown to the guests at home and abroad.

Sanya is situated on the northernmost part of Hainan Island. The city boasts of a nice tropical seaside view, hence it’s coined the reputation as the “Hawaii of the East”. Here, tourists can take a walk on the beach full of coconut trees and feel the charm of the tropical island. Moreover, travelers can pay a visit to the ancient city of Yazhou, where they may explore the ancient civilization of Sanya, learn from ethnic minorities how to make handicrafts, and embrace the local customs. In recent years, Sanya has spared no efforts to develop cultural and tourism-related resources to improve the industry. Hot springs, TCM treatment and holiday competitions have been added to the portfolio of available products, so tourists can have better traveling experiences. In addition, Sanya has, together with Lingshui Li, Ledong Li, Baoting Li, and Miao Autonomous Counties, built the “Great Sanya Tourism Economical Circle,” enabling different resources within the region to complement each other. In the future, Sanya will continue to make full use of its advantages in developing this market, spur gratuitous consumption, expand international tourism, and attract an even larger number of tourists.

During this summit, a great number of participators were drawn to the Sanya stand.
