Ruili, a Yunnan southwest city, houses many jade dealers. The city is near the Myanmar border, a country famous for its jade mines. There, jade is processed into assorted crafts, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, tea sets, vessels, chopsticks, and carvings of flowers, plants, fruits and figures. Most of Yunnan has free markets where wholesaling and retailing for jade are both available. Jade stores can be found in every bird and flower market, such as Jingxing and Bailong markets in Kunming. Prices of jade can range from $1 to $1 million, providing a variety of possible items for all sorts of jade hunters.
