La Mercè Festival

La Mercè Festival is established in memory of Barcelona’s protector, Saint Merce. The largest carnival in Barcelona will be held on the weekend around September 24th of every year, and lasts 3-5 days. During the event, there are crazy Castellers, 3D building light show, and outdoor performances throughout the city; also, there will be a Giant doll parade in the central area and fireworks on the beach for visitors to watch. What’s more, the museums’ are open to the public for free during this festival.
