Sanya Tops the List of Health and Most Livable Cities in China

Sanya, Hainan Island’s tropical coastal tourist city, topped the list of China’s top 10 healthy and livable cities and China’s top 10 cities for green living. The list featuring Sanya is the latest China Eco-cities Construction and Development Report 2017, released on October 31st.

The Report is released by the by Beijing-based think tank the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), which evaluates a total of 286 cities across China, based on 19 indexes including air quality, social environment, living environment, ecological environment, and urban construction.

The top 10 healthy and livable cities in China on the list were Sanya, Zhoushan, Zhuhai, Xiamen, Beijing, Tianjin, Lhasa, Nanning, Hefei, and Huizhou.

The top 10 cities in China for green living on the list were Sanya, Xiamen, Tianjin, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Nanning, Xining, Zhoushan, Qingdao, and Shenzhen.

The top 10 cities for comprehensive innovation on the list were Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Suzhou, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Xiamen, and Xi’an.

The top 10 eco-friendly cities on the list were Zhoushan, Zhuhai, Huangshan, Xiamen, Sanya, Fuzhou, Tianjin, Zhanjiang, Shantou, and Guiyang.

The top 10 cities for green production on the list were Zhuhai, Xiamen, Sanya, Zhoushan, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Guiyang, Shantou, and Zhenjiang.
