The Sanya Government signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Shanghai International Studies University. The agreement aims to help cooperate co-construction of the Sanya High School Affiliated to Shanghai International Studies University. The document was signed on December 7th, 2017.
Among the officials at the signing ceremony were Mr. Li Yansong, President of Shanghai International Studies University, Mr. Wu Yanjun, Deputy Party Secretary of the Sanya Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Sanya Municipal Government, and Mr. Wang Tieming, Vice Mayor of the Sanya Municipal Government.
Under the agreement, the partnership will make full use of the educational resources of Shanghai International Studies University. The Sanya government will provide support including financing, land use, planning, and policy-making, making sure that construction is based on the educational goals as planned.
According to the plan, the Sanya High School will help raise the level of secondary education in the city. The school will also help raise the overall English level in Sanya by providing a series of language learning and language training programs for students. The joint education program will have a positive impact on the development of Sanya’s education programs, and at the same time support the work of developing the city into an international seaside boutique resort.
