The World Tourism Cities Federation participates in the Beijing International Tourism Expo 2019

On June 18, China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) and Beijing International Tourism Expo 2019 (BITE 2019) opened at China National Convention Center in Beijing. Song Yu, Secretary- General of WTCF attended the opening ceremony.

As the world’s first international tourism organization focusing on cities, WTCF participated in BITE 2019, and actively distributed all kinds of promotional materials to the members, promoted the tourism resources of city and institution members to the public, and carried out extensive exchanges with exhibitors in the industry. Many exhibitors came to WTCF’s booth for consultation and negotiation.

WTCF was founded in 2012. With the core idea of "Better City Life through Tourism", WTCF provides members with services of the whole tourism industry chain, promotes exchanges and cooperation among members, popularizes the development experience of tourism cities, publicizes tourism products and resources, and promotes the prosperity and development of global tourism. Up to now, WTCF has had 214 members, including 143 city members, 73 institutional members, and 6 sub-committees. City members covers 72 countries and regions in the world, and institutional members includes travel agencies, media organizations, airports, airline companies, hotel groups, cruises, financial companies, etc.

The BITE 2019 has attracted nearly 1,000 tourism organizations, tourism enterprises and invited buyers from more than 80 countries and regions in the world and 30 provinces and cities in China. The exhibition will last for three days. Various special booths, rich and high-quality products, theme activities full of exotic features and local characteristics, as well as interactive experience full of fun have made the exhibition a splendid cultural tourism event.
