Edinburgh International Festival was founded in 1947, it is the world's oldest and largest arts festival, and it is also recognized as one of the world's most dynamic and innovative festivals for promoting the flourishing of global theater arts. Edinburgh International Festival is held in early August at each year, during three weeks, the city becomes very active and artists from around the world would bring their newest and most exciting works in classical music, theater, opera, dance and visual arts to show at Edinburgh theaters, concert halls and other venues. Every August, Edinburgh becomes the spotlight during this period, the number of tourists reached to its peak, the whole Edinburgh people are thus excited about it. Each year, the Edinburgh arts festival will end in a fireworks show. With fireworks displaying above the castle and symphony spectrum playing in park, the scene becomes an artistic poem, marking the end of the festival, also welcoming the event in the next year.
