Linkou Rime Festival

The 100-Mile Rime Valley is located downstream of the Lotus Hydropower Station Dam in Lotus Town, Linkou County. The Lotus Hydropower Station produces electricity intermittently, and so the downstream of the river, which is as long as a hundred miles, won’t be not frozen and will create the long rime wonder in winter. The varieties of the rime are the most and the coverage is the largest, across China. During the Linkou Rime Festival held in January of every year, the national auto rally will also be held and you can try speeding up your car in the ice and snow. Rime in Lotus Town usually starts in November every year and ends in February or March of the following year.
