【Introduction】:The Fourth Sever Pig Festival was held at Kang Valley which begins at 10:00 AM on January 2nd, and commences on January 29th.

2015 Activities: The Fourth Sever Pig Festival was held at Kang Valley which begins at 10:00 AM on January 2nd, and commences on January 29th. During the event, yearly pig ceremony will be performed, along with folk culture Festival. Agricultural products are showcased, tasty pork soup can be tried, and pig adoption services are available. Activities include winter plowing farming experience, firewood splitting game, campfire cooking competition, parent-child painting, and a 6 day, 5 night winter camping excursion.

A local folk culture tradition stemming from the Daba Mountains is the Pig ritual. Villagers put pigs on wild wooden stool, drain the blood, then remove the hair and put auspicious red flowers on the pigs. This ceremony is believed to bring a more prosperous year. Later on, the villagers will carry the pigs to a quarantine site to be examined.
