Warm greetings from the Seoul Metropolitan Government!

I am Oh Se-hoon, Mayor of Seoul, the WTCF Asia-Pacific Vice-chairman City of the Council. First of all, I would like to congratulate the opening of the "World Conference on Tourism Cooperation and Development 2022". The global tourism industry has been experiencing many challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath. Nevertheless, Seoul, Beijing and other WTCF member cities are striving to come together in solidarity and cooperation to overcome these challenges.

This year's WTCF conference is being held under the theme ‘Deepening Cooperation and Innovation for Development.’ It will be a chance to explore the upcoming trends in tourism, discuss new ideas, and ultimately revitalize the global tourism industry.

I hope that this conference can serve as a window of opportunity to open up a new paradigm for the future of global tourism, especially in the post-COVID-19 era.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government will continue to work towards the cooperation and development of world tourism cities, as a founding member of the WTCF and the WTCF Asia-Pacific Vice-chairman City of the Council. I look forward to this conference further stimulating the innovation and development of global tourism, and wish for your health and well-being until we meet again.
