Arusha

Arusha is the capital of Tanzania's Arusha District. The city is located at the southern foot of Mount Meru, where a pleasant climate is form due to the altitude. Established in 1830s, Arusha is adjacent to the East African Savannah and many lakes. Today, it has become an important international transportation hub in Tanzania, attracting thousands of tourists from all over the world every year.

The famous World Cultural and Natural Heritage site Mount Kilimanjaro is located to the southeast of Arusha. With an altitude of 5,892 meters, the top of the mountain is covered with snow all year round. Mount Kilimanjaro are among the preferences of many mountaineering enthusiasts. In addition, Arusha also has a variety of nature reserves and national parks. In Lake Manyara National Park, 105 kilometers southeast of the city, visitors can see hundreds of species of birds. In the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, visitors can also see animals roaming freely on the African grasslands.
