Morocco World News: World Tourism Cities Federation Confident in Morocco’s Capacity to Host its Annual Summit

Beijing – General Secretary of the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), Li Baochun, expressed, here Monday, his confidence in Morocco’s capacity to successfully host the WTCF annual summit, which will be held in Rabat and Fez on September 20-22, given its proven expertise in holding international events.

Speaking at a press conference on the announcement of the event, Li Baochun said during his visit to Morocco last January, he was reassured about the capacity of Morocco to successfully host this event, held for the first time in a foreign country, particularly thanks to the security and stability enjoyed by the Kingdom.

The cities of Rabat and Fez were chosen in September 2014 to host the next Summit of the World Tourism Cities Federation, ahead, in terms of votes, of other cities which enjoy a huge tourist potential such as Rome, Washington and Los Angeles.

Morocco deserves this tribute, thanks to the hospitality of its people and its openness to the other, its cultural wealth, culinary art, enormous tourism potential and geographical location, the Secretary General told MAP.
