WTCF Invites Guests of the Summit to Experience the Beauty of Three Georges through a Cruise Onboard the No. 6 Gold Cruise Ship

On the night of September 20th, the 2016 World Tourism Cities Federation Chongqing Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit came to a conclusion. To promote the concept of “Beautiful Chongqing with Mountain and River,” WTCF and Chongqing Tourism Administration arranged three themed tour routes for guests after the Summit, namely the “Three Georges Route, Cultural Heritage Route, and Natural Heritage Route.” These routes contained top-rated Chongqing attractions, including the Three Georges of Yangtze River and Wujiang River Gallery. The Yangtze River Cruise route was the most favored route among all.

After the closing ceremony, on September 20th, some guests went on board the No. 6 Gold Cruise Ship. The Yangtze Gold Cruise represents the highest quality service and technology level of the cruises that operate in Yangtze River. The splendid Gold Cruise is a moving aquatic city which is equipped with dining rooms, a shopping street, swimming pools, theaters and other amenities. It provides all-around services to visitors. 

When visiting the Fengdu Ghost City, guests were attracted and impressed by the local ghost culture. A Representative of Nice City Council, France said, “I had visited a lot of destinations with ghost elements around the world, but nowhere is more characteristic, astonishing, and worth visiting than here. You can find ghost elements everywhere. They really made a full use of such resource in all destinations.”

The next stop was Shibaozhai Temple. The temple is located 45 miles away from Zhongxian County, on the north side of the Yangtze River. A ten meter-high, isolate rock stands at the shore. According to legends, the rock was used by the Goddess to mend the sky. Locals then named it “Shibao” (precious stone).

The temple was constructed in order to worship the rock and was rated as one of the “Seven Wonders of China” and one of the “Eight most Bizarre Structures of the World” by Discovery Channel. Hearing of this, one of the guests said that she could not believe that there were so many amazing tourism sights along the Three Georges Section of the Yangtze River.

When asked about the most unforgettable attraction of the trip, the answers of all the guests were “Tour of the Three Gorges, Lesser Three Gorges, and Mini Three Gorges.” Three Gorges is a magnificent karst valley wonder of the world and also China’s earliest known attractions to the world. The attraction has become a favorite tourist destination for Chinese and overseas tourists.

At 11pm on September, 22th, the Gold Cruise took three and half hours to go through Three Gorges’ two-way, five-story high navigation lock. The experience has left an unforgettable memory for all of the guests. The day after, all guests were invited to visit the Three Gorges Dam and go on shore to take a detailed closer look of the largest hydraulic project in the world.

During the trip, a welcome reception, and a series of banquets were held on the No. 6 Gold Cruise Ship. Guests celebrated the Chongqing Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit 2016 and exchanged feelings and shared experiences. During the trip, many constructive opinions were raised to promote better development of large cruise industries in Chongqing.
