Beijing Subway Launches Braille Map Card Set

A Braille card set of the Beijing subway map is being launched for people with visual impairment. The card set was recently officially introduced on Line 4 and Line 8 of Beijing Subway.

The Braille card set complies with the standards of the Chinese Common Braille Scheme, allowing people with visual impairment to read the timetable of every subway station of Beijing's subway system. In addition, the embossed subway map shows the outline and direction of the routes, as well as transfer information. The card set adopts the latest environmentally friendly 3D printing technology for Braille and has been released as ring bound flip cards resembling a set of word cards where each card introduces a subway station.
