Including a beer garden, Pfefferberg was once a brewery founded in 1841 by Bavarian brewmaster Josef Pfeffer. It was transformed in 2000, with galleries, cultural event spaces, studios, a private architectural drawing museum, restaurants and a hotel taking up residence. In 2012, the Guggenheim Foundation and BMW created a research laboratory on the site.

The Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart was the terminus of the railway line between Hamburg and Berlin, which was conceived by the architect Friedrich Neuhaus and opened in December 1846. After reconstruction, the Hamburger Bahnhof reopened on November 1996 as a museum of contemporary art. The museum presides over a comprehensive collection of contemporary art, which it presents in a variety of exhibitions.

The 368-metre-high TV tower is the tallest building in Berlin. Originally designed by the German architect Hermann Henselmann, the tower soaring skywards was completed in 1969 and is now a famous tourist attraction in Germany. From the tower's observation level, which is more than 200-metre-high, visitors are able to enjoy a panoramic view of the Berliner Dom, the Reichstag building and the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
