Mobike Launches Chile

Mobike, the world's largest and most technologically advanced smart bikeshare, is officially launching in Chile! Operations are beginning in the municipalities of La Reina and Las Condes with plans to expand into the rest of Santiago.

Mobike deployed over 2000 bicycles in the area, each equipped with our industry-leading IoT bike locks and a GPS tracking system. Using the rider data they produce in real time, Mobikes can be deployed more efficiently to create widespread accessibility in the areas where they're needed the most.

As with all previous launches, Mobike's entry into La Reina and Las Condes involved extensive collaboration with the local government and other key stakeholders. José Manuel Palacios, mayor of La Reina and Joaquín Lavín, mayor of Las Condes, jointly presented Mobike's service at the country launch event, highlighting the benefits it would bring to their respective municipalities. This comes only days after their visit to Beijing, where they met with Mobike Founder, Hu Weiwei, to formalize permits for launch.
