【Introduction】:To strengthen the cooperation of international tourist cities is both the general trend and the inevitable course. The World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) has built a very good platform for experiences and resources exchange among tourism cities, pragmatically enhanced the influences of Chinese cities in the world tourism and provided a golden opportunity for building Qinhuangdao into a first-rate international tourism city.
The beautiful experiences of tourists in a city not only focus on the feelings of the tourists in all the relevant aspects such as eating, staying, travelling, touring, purchasing and entertainment, but also need the careful experiences in combining the characteristics of the city. To this end, we will focus on the constant improvement of tourist elements, try to attract over 52 million domestic and foreign tourists every year and make them enjoy themselves so much as to forget to leave. Tourists can “go down into the sea” and tour, from Old Dragon’s Head — the magnificent starting point of the Great Wall — to the beautiful Gold Coast and from the wonderful Underwater World to the romantic Sea Bus. Tourists can “climb up mountains” and enjoy the beautiful scenery, from the odd pretty Mount Zu to Mount Jieshi where the vast sea can be seen and from the 100-kilometer Great Wall tourism highway to China’s first mountain and sea tour and sightseeing railway. Tourists can “enter villages” and appreciate the folk custom, from Bancheng, a small town, as the Great Wall experience center to a wine chateau integrating grape production, grape wine production and grape wine appreciation and from the natural and plain shallow mountainous area in the north to the poetic Beidaihe Art Village. Meanwhile, outstanding tourist safety and security have been the most distinct characteristics of the tourism in Qinhuangdao. The tourist police team, the circuit court of tourism and the Compensation First system will never let any tourists leave while they have some regrets. In short, the tourism of Qinhuangdao has broken the limitation of seasons and vast sea. Tourists can climb mountains in spring, go down into the sea in summer, enter forests in autumn and ski in winter. Tourists can come to Qinhuangdao in any season and Qinhuangdao is full of scenic spots.
Four strategies
We take the above four strategies as the commanding strategies and tourism as the breakthrough, and continue to strengthen and promote the tourism brand of Qinhaungdao. Implement the strategy of basing the city on ecology, let the city have the best air in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, make it have the best seawater in the Circum-Bohai-Sea Region and lay a solid foundation for the city moving toward the world tourism development stage. Implement the strategy of strengthening the city by developing industries, take tourism as the first industry, develop tourism in the “Tourism+” Mode integrating various industries, and preliminarily form a modern industrial system with great tourism, great health, great logistics, “big data, intelligence, mobile internet and cloud computing”, characteristic high-end manufacturing industry and characteristic modern agriculture. Implement the strategy of making the city prosper by adopting open policies, actively introduce a batch of strategic investors and a series of important leisure and tourist resort projects such as cultural tourist resort projects, international coastal holiday resort projects and hot spring resort projects, and transform and upgrade the 100-year-old Qinhuangdao Port. Implement the strategy of shaping the city with civilization, promote building Qinhuangdao into a national civilized city as an influential and symbolic event to accelerate the rise of Qinhuangdao, make Qinhuangdao successfully win the title of National Civilized City and completely upgrade the urban environment quality and the spiritual appearance of the citizens.
Strive to build Qinhuangdao into a first-rate international tourist city by the end of 2035.
