BUDAPEST, HUNGARY  – Europe Congress concluded the fourth annual Events Club Associations Forum in Budapest after two and a half days of meetings, networking sessions, and destination experiences for the international MICE industry.

More than 150 event industry professionals participated in the forum, bringing together association event planners, professional congress organisers (PCOs), and suppliers to establish new business connections and explore Budapest as a destination for association events.

The Events Club Associations Forum is designed specifically for event planners representing global associations and PCOs. Organised in partnership with the Budapest Convention Bureau, the forum introduced participants to the city’s event venues and meeting infrastructure, alongside networking opportunities and 28 scheduled one-on-one meetings.

Krisztina Henyecz, Head of Business Development at Visit Hungary, said “Europe Congress’ Events Club Associations Forum was an excellent opportunity for Budapest to present its diverse portfolio of event venues and high-quality services to key decision-makers from international association congresses in a personal and focused setting. Such targeted B2B forums allow participants to gain first-hand insight into the professional environment and expertise available for hosting international events in Budapest. The city’s strengths lie in its well-functioning MICE ecosystem, a reliable network of service providers, and the close proximity of distinctive urban experiences – all of which position Budapest as a competitive destination in the international association congress market.”

Participants explored the Hungarian capital through four destination experience tours designed to highlight the city’s cultural and event infrastructure. Activities included a walking tour of the Pest side of the city featuring stops at the opera house and St. Stephen’s Basilica, along with a tasting of traditional chimney cake.

Another tour took participants to City Park, where attendees visited key landmarks including the Széchenyi Medicinal Baths and the House of Hungarian Music. A sightseeing bus tour showcased major sites on the Pest side of the city and included tastings of Hungarian wine, strudel, and goulash.

Delegates also visited the Zwack Museum for a private tour that included a tasting of Zwack Unicum, a traditional Hungarian liqueur. In addition, hotel site inspections across the city introduced attendees to local meeting spaces and venues suitable for international association events.

The forum was hosted at the five-star Corinthia Budapest, located in the city centre. Participants experienced the hotel’s hospitality offering, including its historic architecture, Royal Spa, restaurants, and bars.
