WTCF Attends the UITM - 27th International B2B Travel Exhibition

On 5 October 2021, Mr. Chen Bo, Director General of Liaison and Events Departments, WTCF, took part in the opening ceremony of the UITM - 27th International B2B Travel Exhibition, which took place in the Kyiv International Exhibition Center.

Mr. Chen Bo expressed his congratulations during the event, and extended welcome to all the participants, guests and organizers of the Ukraine International Travel Market.

In his speech, he mentioned that WTCF is committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation between cities and countries in the tourism sector, strengthening international ties and contributing to the economic and social development of cities around the world.

In Ukraine, WTCF has a strong partner – the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine and has a very active city member – the City of Kharkiv.

UITM is the largest and the most important international travel industry event of the autumn-winter season in Ukraine. Annually lots of National Tourism Boards of different counties, key national and international travel industry players use UITM to present their services and novelties to trade professional visitors from every region of Ukraine. For many years UITM was annually supported by the UNWTO (United Nations World Travel Organization) and National Tourism Organization of Ukraine.

Previous time, 148 tour operators, national and local travel agencies, associations and boards, hotels, publishing and insurance companies from 25 countries: Bulgaria, Brazil, Cuba, Cyprus, China, the Czech Republic, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Georgia, Greece, Japan, Hungary, India, Italy, Lithuania, Malaysia, Palestine, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Thailand, Ukraine, France, Vietnam etc. took part in UITM' 2019. It was visited by 4 916 professionals. Specialists visited 30 seminars and conferences within the business programme.

This year Premier Expo Ukraine (Hyve Group, UK) and National Tourism Organization of Ukraine initiated the International Forum for Destination Management Organizations of all levels (National, Regional and Local Tourism Organizations), Ministries and Administrations, responsible for the tourism sector, International Tourism Organizations and Associations within the frames of UITM.

In 2021, companies from 10 countries participated in the exhibition with the national stand: Bulgaria, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Lithuania, Maldives, Montenegro, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

This year, the section of IT products in tourism was widely represented. The exposition presented companies that provide a full range of support services to travel agencies, hotels and hotel chains, contribute to synergy between the key players of the tourism market in creating a perfect tourist product.
