Malaysia has removed all its COVID entry restrictions for international arrivals, including testing and quarantine requirements.

As of 1 August, people visiting Malaysia have been permitted to enter without completing any COVID-related forms or tests, regardless of their vaccination status.

Prior to the rule change, unvaccinated travellers were required to take a PCR test two days before departure, as well as a professionally-administered rapid antigen test within 24 hours of arrival in the country followed by five days of quarantine.

Vaccinated arrivals were exempt from testing and quarantine rules, but were required to download the MySejahtera app and fill in the travel pass to verify their vaccination status.

Passengers may still be required to download the MySejahtera app, but will not need to enter vaccine details.
