In 1903, to celebrate the announcement of the colonization of Seychelles(formerly hosted by Mauritius ) to the British royal family, a Clock Tower modeled on that of Vauxhall Clock Tower in London was established at central downtown in Seychelles.
In downtown Victoria, standing in the Independence Avenue, there is the famous statue --- three artful seagull sculpture, a symbol of national integration and unity.
Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple was built in 1992, it is located near the fish market in Victoria It is the only Hindu temple in Seychelles.
