On 29 September 2021, Li Baochun, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of WTCF, attended the opening ceremony of the 11th China International Conference Industry Festival (CICIF) and delivered a keynote speech. This year, CICIF was held in Tianfu International Conference Center in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. Participating exhibitors included hundreds of renowned public relations companies, event management companies, associations, and societies, as well as heads of procurement departments from Fortune Global 500 enterprises. More than 500 MICE leaders gathered and together discussed on future development.

Second, MICE groups generally in a larger scale will bring numerous potential consumers to host places of exhibitions and conventions and they tend to spend a lot and stay for a longer time. The large profitability will significantly boost local tourism consumption. Third, conventions will turn into renowned brands of local tourism, enhancing the influence and tourism image of host places. Fourth, conventions and exhibitions will gather enormous flow of information, technologies, commodities and talents.
