Tourism Fiji Announces the Regional Director of Global Chinese Market

Tourism Fiji is pleased to announce Mr. Vincent Zheng as Regional Director of Global Chinese market with immediate effect, a role that oversees activities across global Chinese market in our key source markets.

Vincent has been Regional Director, Greater China since 2018. His broad experience has been an asset to Tourism Fiji. In response to Covid-19, Vincent has led the team and worked with stakeholders closely to adopt a lot of approaches and initiatives to help industry partners navigate the rapidly changing landscape. As a Chinese, Vincent brings a global perspective to the tourism industry, having lived and worked in numerous locations throughout the world. His leadership strengths include developing strong strategic relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, being well versed in the latest travel platforms, successfully growing international destination market share and being a strong advocate of global vision.

Commenting on Vincent's appointment, Tourism Fiji CEO Brent Hill says: "It is with great pleasure that Tourism Fiji wishes to advise the market that Vincent Zheng, our highly regarded and talented Regional Director in China, is taking on an expanded remit. Vincent will now take on the role of Regional Director – Global Chinese Market, and therefore be responsible for the Chinese mainland, but also the Sinophone community around the world. Heading into 2022, with Fiji's borders opening up, we are working hard on the protocols required to allow more and more countries into Fiji, and the Sinophone community around the world is a market that previously has been important for Fiji, and will continue to be going forward. In his new capacity, Vincent Zheng will support all general commercial activities to the global Chinese market in close cooperation with key industry stakeholders, and predominately responsible for planning and execution of global Chinese market activities in the key source markets to increase global Chinese visitors' arrivals to Fiji. Vincent will also oversee integrating global, regional, and Chinese-specific brand and media strategies into the context of the global Chinese market in the key source markets.
