WTCF Promotes Members' Tourism Resources at 31st GITF

The 31st Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) was held at Area C of the China Import and Export Fair Complex from 19 to 21 May 2023. Representing its members, the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) attended the fair, taking the opportunity brought by the fair to actively promote the tourism resources of its member cities and institutions.

With an exhibition stand at the fair, WTCF looped its latest promotional videos in both Chinese and English, and distributed brochures, magazines, member information materials and other materials on site, serving its members with great efforts. Other exhibitors and tourism practitioners showed great interest in WTCF, and many followed the group's official WeChat, Weibo and other social media accounts for more relevant information.

Liu Yikai, Deputy Event Director of WTCF, was on site as a representative of WTCF at the 2023 China Outbound Tourism Conference. Liu had in-depth exchanges with the anchor and attendees on topics including the new trends in outbound Chinese tourism, how international conferences have contributed to world tourism development, and the future of urban tourism.

As the first travel fair held in China after the resumption of outbound tourism, the event covered an area of 22,000 square meters and attracted exhibitors from 55 countries and regions. The fair consisted of the Digitalization, Outbound Tourism & M.I.C.E Hall, the Inbound Tourism & Travel Destination Promotion Hall, the Local Travel Agency Hall, and the Themed Trip & Scenic Spot Hall.
