Beijing-Hong Kong Travel Fair Successfully Held, Yielding Fruitful Results

On the morning of April 15, the Beijing-Hong Kong Travel Fair, the Beijing Inbound Tourism Policy and Resources Promotion Conference, and the Hong Kong Resources Promotion Conference were successfully convened, as the first agenda items of the 2025 WTCF Hong Kong Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit.

As one of the important segments focusing on cooperation and business matching in previous Fragrant Hills Tourism Summits, the fair has become a significant platform for the supply and demand sides of tourism to achieve efficient resource matching and substantial cooperation through targeted "face-to-face" negotiations and in-depth "point-to-point" discussions.

At this fair, the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), in collaboration with the Beijing Culture and Tourism Association, organized over 60 buyers and sellers from Beijing to engage in more than 570 tourism negotiations with Hong Kong tourism enterprises, with the intended transaction amount reaching nearly CNY 200 million. Wei Rong, Chief of International Exchanges and Cooperation Division at Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, gave a presentation on Beijing's inbound tourism policies and resources, elaborating to Hong Kong tourism enterprises and practitioners on Beijing's tourism market and policies. Felix Chan, General Manager of Business Development at the Hong Kong Tourism Board, conducted a presentation on Hong Kong's tourism resources, showcasing the rich and diverse tourism appeal of the special administrative region.

The deep fusion of tourism resources between Beijing and Hong Kong injects new momentum into the integrated development of the cultural and tourism industries in both regions. Furthermore, it sets an example for cooperation among global tourism cities through innovative approaches such as policy and visitor exchanges, and joint product development. As the host of the Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit, WTCF will fully utilize its advantages as an international organization to promote the high-quality development of international tourism.
